Viale dei Liquidambar

Viale dei Liquidambar is the avenue that, perpendicularly to Viale Cavriga, connects the Roundhouse of Liriodendri with the meander of the river Lambro.

Absent in the first map of the Park, which was drafted by Canonica within 1808, the avenue appears in the following representations. The boulevard, after leaving the Roundhouse of Liriodendri on Viale Cavriga, is directed towards the north running along a wood and then reaches the bank of the river Lambro. The name refers to the double row of Liquidambar styraciflua that runs along it and that shows its best image in autumn, when leaves colour themselves of rich shades from yellow to orange, red and into the deepest crimson.
