Villa Reale

Royal Woodlands

The Boschetti Reali (Royal Woodlands) are triangular in shape. The avenues are laid out in a trident pattern with regular rows of trees, linking the area of the Villa to the city of Monza. During the last world war, the Woodlands were reduced to meadows and remained so until the 1950s, when it was decided to renew them with high-trunked trees, essentially neat rows of plane and lime trees. In spring, the lawns towards Viale Margherita are graced with copious flowerings of crocuses.
